Currently
the social sector is ununified as a whole. There are large
organizations that throw money at complex problems. Multiple
organizations working over each other. Our communities lack a unified
body to monitor and address community needs. And if that wasn’t enough,
the social sector has been sustaining itself from a constant stream of donations. Simply put the current social sector is not sustainable.
What we need is a social sector that is capable of efficiently solving
social needs. Questio Visum is a vision for restructuring the social sector, for the purposes of more effectively addressing societal needs and doing so in a sustainable manner. This will be done by creating a family of socially minded organizations meant to allow social enterprises to operate as a wholistic socially minded system Social Sector 2.0 (SS2). This system will compete in the marketplace with for-profit enterprises. By competing in the marketplace with social enterprises, the social system will be able to address societal needs with revenue generated by funneling revenue from social enterprises into LOCAL consortiums dedicated to monitoring societal needs at the community level. In doing so, we can reduce the strain of governments and thereby shrink them. This is not meant to replace for-profit businesses. In fact, quite the opposite. This is meant to ensure that we are creating systems that can help Humanity grow Beyond! |
